If your shelf isn’t traveling from wall to wall, consider cutting a 45-degree angled corner off the protruding corner. This is entirely optional, of course, and it does add some complication and effort in trimming out the shelf edge. But it makes for a nice, polished, and softer edge. (Particularly if your above-door shelf, like this one, is readily visible in a mirror or other reflective surface.)
We’ve seen photo ledges used as shelving before and here they are again. They make a really great option for tiny bathrooms that need storage without the bulk. Make sure you get the pretty shampoo bottles to display.
Clutter is never soothing, so stashing away all your bathroom necessities is paramount in creating a serene environment. Whether you choose all closed cabinetry or include some open shelving, everything needs to be neat and organized. Items stored or displayed in any open shelving must be precisely stacked or stored in attractive containers.
